The Best Training Playlists to Follow on Spotify

Ever find that, some days when it comes to your training, your get up and go is nowhere to be found and you instead find yourself feeling tired, lethargic, lacking motivation, and not really wanting to put the work in at all? If so, then rest assured that you’re not alone.

We all have days when we can’t be bothered to exercise, yet for many of us, if we’re able to dig deep and push ourselves to train, that’s typically when we find ourselves enjoying an awesome training session and feeling glad that we made the effort.

Sometimes to help us dig deep and push ourselves to train, we need a little help from our favourite music which is what we’re going to focus on today. Music is one of the most powerful yet highly underrated tools any gymgoer can have at their disposal providing it’s music that you enjoy and it’s music that motivates you.

Rather than spending hours on end compiling a playlist, why not head on over to Spotify and enjoy a ready-made gym playlist instead? Here’s a look at the best training playlists to follow on Spotify.

Beast Mode, Spotify

The first playlist we’re recommending today is the aptly named Beast Mode.

This playlist is followed by close to 10 million users on Spotify, so it is obviously doing something right.

If you’re serious about your training and you like to pump iron and ‘clang and bang’ as The Rock would say, this is the perfect playlist to tap into your inner beast and active full beast mode to get the absolute best from your workouts.

Including Rap, Hip Hop, EDM, Dance, Electro, Drum and Bass, Dubstep, and other genres, you can expect tunes from big names in the music world, and those slightly less well known.

Amongst the artists on offer here, you’ll find: Rick Ross, Drake, Bassnectar, DJ Khaled, Young Thug, and countless others.

Dwayne Johnson’s Iron Paradise Tour, The Rock

If there’s one man who knows how to train, it’s The Rock, also known as Dwayne Johnson.

Recently, The Rock shared yet another of his Spotify playlists with his fans to coincide with the release of his latest Project Rock Under Armour collection, and boy, are we impressed.

This playlist features a diverse selection of genres from Rap and Hip Hop to Rock and Heavy Metal. Expect tracks from artists such as 2pac, Tech N9ne, Rage Against the Machine, Metallica, ZZ Top. Stevie Ray Vaughn, and many others, this is an awesome playlist to get jacked to.

We can’t guarantee that you’ll look like The Rock, or even train like The Rock when listening to this playlist, but you’ll certainly work harder than ever.

David Laid Mix, Gymshark

David Laid is a young up and coming bodybuilder in his early 20s, endorsed by Gymshark. He looks awesome, and he trains like a beast, and now he has shared his playlist with Spotify.

This is perhaps more geared towards younger lifters like David, as you will find music from artists such as: Marshmello, Skrillex, Kayzo, and Datsik.

If you’re looking for a sudden burst of energy and adrenaline, tunes such as the Skrillex remix to ‘Humble’ by Kendrick Lamar really work. With an emphasis placed on Dubstep, Techno, and EDM, this playlist wouldn’t be out of place at Coachella.
