Organization is the Key to Achieving you Health & Fitness Goals

Organisation is the key to achieving your fitness goals. This is very big statement but in a grand scheme of things it is essential when you are aiming for something that you want to so long.

In the fitness industry organisation is something that is underestimated and is not really seen as the key to success. When I write about organisation I simply mean organising your diet, being organised with your schedule, and in your fitness regime. This is all well and good but being organised takes strategy.

Here are my 5 top tips for being an organised individual when it comes to health and fitness.

  1. Go and purchase some plastic containers. You can buy these from your local supermarket for approximately $2.50. If you’re lucky enough you can get them on sale or if you’re happy to wait you can buy them online. I make this suggestion because having plastic containers helps you to plan your diet at the start of each week. Layout your plastic containers and make sure that you are adding your healthy macronutrients that make up your meals each day of the week.
  2. Use your calendar on your phone. Use it to schedule your workouts and the times that you need to consume your food. We all live a busy lifestyle and sometimes these meals or workouts can be skipped or overlooked. Having your phone beep at you at the appropriate organised time will assist with timing of diet and workouts and in achieving those long term health and fitness goals.
  3. Do a mass cook up on a weekend and freeze your food. This is an important organisational tool to use when trying to achieve those long term goals. Doing a mass cook up on the weekend helps you plan your week when it comes to food and your workouts. Knowing that you have a meal in the freezer when you get home from work gives you more time to exercise or do those things that you were unable to do earlier in the day.
  4. Get a magic bullet blender. This piece of machinery has saved me on many occasions. If I am pushed for time or don’t want to cook a meal I can simply make a healthy shake in the magic bullet. There are so many awesome healthy shake recipes on the internet that would substitute well for a meal or even a dinner.
  5. Use a gym bag and treat it like it is an expensive briefcase. In your gym bag make sure you have all the essentials you need for your workouts. Add a towel, a drink bottle, some post workout supplements, a change of clothes, and a snack you are able to take with you that does not need refrigeration. Don’t be cheap and purchase a bag that will not last. Purchase something that is worthwhile and a little more expensive. This way you will treat it with more care and respect.
  6. If you implement these 5 tips I assure you that you will be well and truly on your way to achieving your health and fitness goals. Just remember, organisation is the key to living a healthy lifestyle.
